From Idea to Launch: How We Build Digital Products at Starduxe
A behind-the-scenes look at our exact process — from the first client call to handing over a live product.
We get asked often: how does Starduxe actually work? What happens between 'I have an idea' and 'it's live and users are signing up'? Here's the full process — every phase, every decision point, no agency jargon.
Phase 1: Discovery (Week 1)
Before we touch design or code, we need to understand your business. What problem are you solving? Who are your users? What does success look like in 6 months? What are the must-haves vs. nice-to-haves? This phase produces a Scope Document — a written agreement on what we're building, why, and how we'll measure success. It's the most important document in the project.
Phase 2: Design (Weeks 2–4)
We design in Figma. We start with wireframes — low-fidelity layouts that focus on structure and user flow, not visuals. Once the flow is agreed, we build high-fidelity designs with real typography, colour, imagery, and interaction states. You see exactly what you're getting before a line of code is written. No surprises.
Phase 3: Development (Weeks 3–10)
Development runs in parallel with the latter stages of design. We build in two-week sprints, with a staging environment that's always up to date. You can see the product being built in real time — not just at the end. Each sprint ends with a review call where we demo what's been built and reprioritise the backlog if needed.
Phase 4: QA & Testing (Weeks 9–11)
Before anything goes live, it goes through a structured QA process: functional testing across browsers and devices, performance testing (Core Web Vitals targets), accessibility review, and security checks. We maintain a QA checklist that has grown from 50+ projects. Most bugs are caught here, not in production.
Phase 5: Launch (Week 11–12)
Launch day is methodical, not chaotic. DNS cutover, SSL verification, final smoke tests, analytics verification, error monitoring setup. We're available on WhatsApp and email for the full 48 hours post-launch. Issues in the first 48 hours — rare, but they happen — are treated as emergencies and resolved immediately.
Phase 6: Post-Launch Support
The launch isn't the end — it's the beginning. We offer ongoing retainer arrangements for clients who want continuous iteration, feature development, and maintenance. For clients who take the project in-house, we provide full documentation, a code walkthrough, and 30 days of support to answer questions from your internal team.
“We don't just ship products. We build systems that your team can own, scale, and evolve.”
Want to Start?
The first step is a 30-minute discovery call. No pitch, no proposal — just an honest conversation about what you're building and whether we're the right fit. If we are, we'll scope it. If we're not, we'll tell you that too.
