A CLEAR PICTURE FROM THE START
These are starting points for a conversation. Deliverables, timing, third-party costs, and support are agreed in your project scope.
A CLOSER LOOK
Most mobile work runs into trouble in the same two places: the gap between the app and the systems behind it, and the release process. An app is rarely self-contained — it needs accounts, data that syncs, permissions, and sensible behaviour when the network drops mid-action. Those states are easy to skip in a demo and expensive to retrofit. The second is distribution: store review, device testing, and update cadence all shape the timeline in ways that surprise teams building their first app.
React Native and Expo let iOS and Android share a single codebase, which is usually the right call for a product where the experience is broadly the same on both. It stops being the right call when an app leans heavily on platform-specific capability or needs to feel genuinely native in ways users would notice. We'd rather have that conversation before the build than discover halfway through that the shared approach is fighting the product.
Phone use is interrupted by default — a few minutes on a commute, a glance between meetings. An app designed around long, uninterrupted sessions tends to frustrate people in practice even when it tests well. That shapes real decisions: what's reachable in one tap, what's cached so it opens instantly, what state is preserved when someone leaves mid-task and comes back an hour later.
A few practical things, answered.
A description of the problem, who the product is for, and anything that already exists. Share useful references and constraints; a polished brief is not required.
We agree the scope and dependencies first, then propose milestones, pricing, and a delivery plan. Existing systems, integrations, feedback, and content readiness all affect the estimate.
Yes. We start by reviewing the current experience and technical setup, then recommend what to keep, improve, or rebuild.
We agree on documentation, handover, and support before the project begins. Ongoing improvements or maintenance can be scoped separately.
