01 / THE CONTEXT

The world behind
the work.

A cooperative society's members need one clear place to see their group, their e-pass, and what's happening — not a phone call to the office. TC Sathi is that place, built for Crown Software as a single codebase that becomes a differently-branded app for each distributor.

02 / THE FOCUS

A considered
way forward.

Every distributor gets their own branded build from the same source: a member dashboard, group information, a digital e-pass, and notifications. It's read-only by design and distributed directly by each society rather than through an app store, which keeps the delivery model matched to how these organisations actually reach their members.

Thoughtfully
put together.

The priorities that shape the product and the experience.

01

One codebase, many brands.

Each distributor's app is a separately branded build from a shared source, so an improvement made once reaches every society running it.

02

Match the real distribution model.

Societies hand builds directly to their own members, so the app is built and packaged for that path rather than forced through a public store listing.

03

Keep it simple on purpose.

A read-only dashboard is the right amount of software for what members actually need — information, quickly, without a heavier app to maintain.

Behind the build.

The decisions that shaped how this was actually put together.

One codebase, many branded builds

Each cooperative society gets its own branded Android app built from a single shared source. An improvement or fix made once reaches every society running it, which is the opposite of the alternative — separate codebases per client that diverge until each needs maintaining independently.

Matched to how societies actually reach members

The apps are distributed directly by each society to its own members rather than through a public store listing. That's not a limitation to work around; it's how these organisations already communicate with their members. Building for that distribution path rather than forcing a store presence keeps the product aligned with reality.

Deliberately read-only

The app shows a member their group, their e-pass, and relevant notifications — and doesn't attempt to be a transactional platform. For the actual need, a focused read-only dashboard is the right amount of software: faster to use, cheaper to maintain, and far less surface area for something to go wrong in members' hands.
